Illumination Investigation

  • Meet with one of our patient and passionate professionals who will get to know what your financial goals are – retirement, trust and estate planning, educational financing, vacation funds, or any other goals or concerns – by asking you open-ended, insightful, and personalized questions and truly giving you our specialized TLC treatment.
  • For your convenience we have created a digital form that you can fill out before arrival so that we can gain some insight into your personal money managing and investment goals. This is one tool we use to find out exactly what money means to you and where you see your future heading.

Some examples of the questions we use to inform your TLC:

  • What did money mean to you growing up?
  • Are you comfortable in retirement?
  • When do you spend frivolously?
  • Is your 401k neglected?

Risk Analysis

To understand your risk threshold, you will receive an e-mail containing a prospective risk profile, a questionnaire tool with fun and easy “would you rather” questions to pinpoint your risk appetite. Based on your responses, you (and your spouse if appropriate) will be assigned a risk number between 1-99. We will then consider your risk score(s) along with other factors such as time to retirement, goals for retirement, approach to money, and other aspects, when creating an appropriate portfolio for you. Within this e-mail there will also be a checklist of things like recent account statements in order to move forward into the next meeting step.

Communication is encouraged between your Spotlight Session and your next meeting, The Snapshot.

Now that we have gathered all of the information necessary, it’s time to share findings about additional aspects related to accomplishing your specific goals.

Is it a full-blown financial plan you need? Or would you rather an abridged version? Mountain View Strategic Wealth works within your expectations to develop a good baseline for moving forward. This meeting allows us to establish both a relationship with you and to further gain an insight towards the financial goals you hope to achieve.

What to expect:

  • A proposed portfolio will be presented as a snapshot in time, as financial management is always an evolving process.
  • A keen relationship is developed between you and your Mountain View Strategic Wealth professional so that as things change within our world and economy, you are never left feeling confused or uncomfortable. 
  • Investigating things like 401k turnover in order to manage how it’s invested.

Once you decide to move forward with us, we can set up a meeting to agree on all of the relevant paperwork you need to start your complete wealth journey.

This can be done:

  • In an in-person meeting
  • Signing digitally by DocuSign® remotely through a secure email link.
